What is AWNS?

AWNS, which stands for Autonomous Worlds Naming Service, introduces a novel approach to digital identity with its unique domain ending, .aw. It serves as the foundational layer for the AW ecosystem, enabling users to effortlessly traverse Autonomous Worlds, participate in on-chain games, and engage with the broader web3 landscape. While conventional Web3 naming services like ENS provide comprehensive usernames associated with wallets, AWNS takes this concept to the next level. Notably, AWNS redefines the concept of a username by transforming it into a tokenbound account (TBA) which is an NFT integrated with a wallet powered by ERC-6551. In the following sections, we will delve deeper into the range of applications and opportunities made possible by AWNS.

How to Create AWNS

1. Connect your wallet, and select the Ethereum network.

2. Head to the “Explore” page, enter your desired name in the input box, and if it shows as "Available," you can register it.

3. Click "Register now" to start the registration process.

4. Upload an image (Optional): Upload your preferred image as the account avatar.

5. Use as primary name (optional): The default option is to use the chosen name as the primary domain.

6. Referral AWNS (optional): Enter the referral AWNS, and the referrer will receive an invitation reward.

7. Discount Code (optional): Enter your community’s discount code for a discount. To use the discount code, please connect wallet first.

8. Register: Click on "Register," then select "Open Wallet." Finally, confirm your registration.

How to Access the Asset Details Page

Click "View name" to access asset details, or click the account name in the top right corner to access the account list, and select the corresponding account.

How to Set AWNS as the Main Domain

1. In the asset details page, select "[...]" and choose 'Set as main address.' Then, click "Open Wallet" and "Confirm."

2. Finally, click "Save."

How to Transfer AWNS

1. In the asset details page, click the top left corner of the avatar, then click "[Transfer]."

2. Enter the specified Ethereum address or AWNS, click "[Transfer]."
3. Confirm in the wallet and complete the transfer.

How to Renew AWNS

1. In the asset details page, click the top left corner of the avatar, then click "[Extend]."

2. Choose the renewal period, click "[Extend]."

3. Confirm the renewal details, click "[Open Wallet]"

4. Confirm and complete the renewal in the wallet,

How to Receive Assets

1. Go to the asset details page.

2. Find the asset receiving address, click the "Receive" page to get the QR code, or directly copy the receiving address below the avatar.

3. Find the corresponding asset from the wallet, paste the receiving address, or scan the QR code to send the asset.

How to Send Assets

1. Go to the asset details page, click "Send," and select the type of asset to send from the dropdown list.

2. For example, to send USDT, select "Fungible token," enter the recipient's ETH address or AWNS name on the right pop-up box, and click "Send."

3. For example, to send NFT, select "NFT," enter the recipient's ETH address or AWNS name on the left pop-up box, and click "Send."

How to Get Referral Rewards

1. Invite friends to register AWNS.

2. Invited friends enter your AWNS as a referrer when completing their AWNS registration

3. Only then will you receive referral rewards.

How to Claim Referral Rewards

1.Click "[Referral rewards]" on the navigation bar.

2.Select the AWNS eligible for rewards.

3.Click "[Claim]" to receive referral rewards.

How to Reclaim AWNS If an AWNS’ ownership is transferred through a transaction, e.g. through a sale on Opensea, the buyer will have to “reclaim” the rights to use the domain to perform actions like set domain as main address.

What happens to assets after AWNS expires?

Make sure to renew or transfer your AWNS before they expire including the assets owned by the AWNS. If your AWNS expires, and consequently registered by someone else, your AWNS assets will be lost.
